Round towers dating from the 12th and 13th centuries flank the north-west and south-east sides of the building, contrasting with the long, latticed, Renaissance-style south facade dating from the 16th century.

The 12th- and 13th-century round towers flanking the north-west and south-east sides of the building contrast with the long, latticed, Renaissance-style south facade dating from the 16th century. Built on a quadrilateral plan around the main courtyard, which can be entered on foot, the château was owned by several of Provence's leading families: de Grasse, de Villeneuve, de Raphaélis-Brovès, de Lyle Taulanne.
